Pork

I have to admit I love pork! A versatile meat used for every occasion. When using pork on a buffet or any place where you are not sure of the preferences of the guest, make sure to label the dish accordingly. Some religions do not allow their followers to eat pork in any fashion. So be aware with these recipes.

Breakfast with various cuts of Pork

Biscuits and Gravy – Who doesn’t love this recipe that originated in the South? You can bake your own biscuits or use the canned variety for speed. I like to use the larger biscuits such as these

Cheesy Pork and Potato Breakfast Skillet – Breakfast Skillets are one of my favorite type of recipe! With fewer pans than normal, they can be created in one pan and one bowl usually. You can modify this recipe easily. First place to start? Try a different type of cheese like Gruyere or even Swiss! I found this recipe at ShowMeTheYummy.com

Ham and Cheese Croissants – Melt in your mouth good! Using some pre-made ingredients makes this easy to make. Sauces that are good with this dish are included as well! Enjoy.

Ham and Egg Squares – This is a holiday treat for us. You can modify the recipe by using whatever meat you’d like. If you use breakfast sausage, I recommend ground sausage cooked to perfection and drained of excess grease.

Lunch with various cuts of Pork

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad – Invite the ladies over for a luncheon. Easy to make and they will all ask for the recipe. I’d tell them it’s a handed down for generations recipe and keep it to myself. Not really. More fun to share!

One Pot Ham & Penne Skillet – The use of a single pan combined with leftovers make this dish a desirable one for the cook. The taste makes them ask for more. This dish can be prepared for lunch or dinner.

Hawaiian Jaffle – What is a jaffle? It’s a sandwich that when cooked in a jaffle maker is scored corner to corner and the edges pressed together and sealed. You can use a regular waffle maker instead of of jaffle maker if you prefer.

Dinners with various cut of Pork

Sheet-Pan Ham and Egg Hash – Another recipe that needs a single pan to cook. We make a version of this recipe for Sunday brunch. Substitute chopped bacon or breakfast sausage. We used both mild and hot sausage depending on who was eating with us.

Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork Sandwiches – These treats won’t last long. Sweet, savory AND crunchy hits all the right spots on my tongue. What a great dinner with homemade fries. Good to the last bit in the bowl.

Grilled Seasoned Pork Roast – Sunday night dinner! Fast becoming a family favorite! I’ve found that my family enjoy root vegetables as sides and a garden salad. This roast is so tender and moist that it will literally melt in your mouth.
