Christmas Card Day

Hmmm, I wonder what we should do on Christmas Card Day? With the ease of text messaging and habits of sending cards via email, we should set aside a day to get this project completed. One of the beset reasons I can think of for sending Christmas Cards, is the joy the receiver gets when opening them. I know I get a warm feeling when I open them, thoughts of that person/family comes to mind. It’s a short trip down memory lane with someone who cared enough to put pen to paper rather than fingers to keyboard. More personal if you aske me.

So this being a recipe page, I tried to think of what I would do on this day. First I’d set the entire day aside. I would have already created a list of people who I wanted to send cards to this year. I’d have decided if I was going to include a newsletter or not. I’d gather my supplies and put them on the dining room table. Then out to the kitchen to make some hot cocoa or fill a glass with my favorite, Diet Pepsi with plenty of ice. The beverage choice is based on the weather. In preparation for the day, I would have already made some treats to munch on while filling out each Christmas card. Listening to Christmas music or even just my favorite radio station. Here are some recipes to try.

Treats to munch on while preparing the cards. I would suggest if you are going the oversweet direction, add a glass of cold milk to cut through the sugar coating in your mouth.
