Halloween 2022 is bittersweet. The memories range from dressing up for Halloween at work to participating in a Halloween parade where one of my nephews won a prize for being a baby Dracula. He was adorable sitting in his stroller holding onto a plastic prune juice bottle that had been filled with tomato juice that had been diluted with water.
Halloween is my favorite holiday.
Christmas is for the kids mainly, but Halloween is my playground for the evening. Planning what to dress up as the holiday grows closer. As a result, we discussed the various ideas from brainstorming with friends was a blast as we chose what we were going to be. What did we have around the house to use for a costume. Later on, we skipped this part by just renting a costume, not as fun, but time efficient.
Meanwhile, remember that the ambience of the party room can make or break the party. Keep in mind the age of those attending the party. Example, a 7 year old may talk a big game, but when confronted with a live version of Dracula may have nightmares for days after. Whereas an adult who is presenting with games like Pin the eyes on the ghost or treats like Real Life Lady fingers, would be bored out of their gourd.

Halloween Slime – Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without a little bit of slime. This recipe is the favorite for many monsters and their creepy friends.
Spaghetti and Eyeballs – The epitome of Halloween fare. Using ingredients that you have in the pantry, you can create the most amazingly delicious dish for the year!
Witches Hats – A cute and simple little Halloween treat that everyone will love. The amount this recipe makes depends on how many cookies and chocolate kisses you have. It just depends on how many you want.
As a special treat for the smaller kids, I’ve got a movie the children might like. I showed this to my own great grandchildren aged 2, 5, and 10 and they seemed to enjoy it. Why not make some Halloween slime and watch the movie together?
